Time Zone problems

My appointments are all showing up an hour late in Outlook version 2003 (11.8217.8221) SP3.  The weird thing is I'm sure it was working a while ago, so I'm not sure what happened to confuse it.  I just upgraded from 0.9.7 to 0.9.9, but that didn't seem to effect the problem.  I'm trying to figure out if my Zimbra server is sending back an incorrect timezone description (in the ics file), or if there is a bug converting.  I read the previous TZ message and I think I included all the info you may need to diagnose, but let me know if you need anything else.  Thanks.

END:STANDARD
BEGIN:DAYLIGHT

END:DAYLIGHT
END:VTIMEZONE

DTEND;TZID="(GMT-05.00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)":20090501T150000

we are on EDT here
Correct time: 2pm-3pm
Appears in outlook as 3pm-4pm

Re: Time Zone problems

Hello

Weird indeed - I can't find any error (it's working correctly on my WinXP PC, if set to your timezone).
So I added a new option [X] Ignore Timezone (=Localtime).
Download & Install Version 1.0.0 - over previous version.

This way the times with "TZID=" are not getting re-calculated - but it will be only possible to import feeds created in YOUR timezone
(times in UTC will still get re-calculated by the OS, of course).

If it's NOT working with this option - something must be wrong with your PC/Outlook installation. Is it VISTA or XP?
Check the timezones - especially INSIDE Outlook under "Options". Apply the TIMEZONE patch from Microsoft again (The WinAPI is used to re-calculate times).

If it's working, please do email me an original feed from Zimbra - not modified/touched in any way by an editor!
(For checking if a hidden character or a wrong encoding could be the reason)

Roland

PS:
My Shareware iCal4OL can now do a 2-Way-Sync with Zimbra 5 RC2, and has special options to manually adjust the timezone.

Re: Time Zone problems

Just after posting I found the problem, which I actually fixed before, but somehow re-appeared magically (a date format bug).
I just updated version 1.0.0 again - it should work now without the new option, too...
